I have been wearing my hair in its natural state all my life so when someone asks me "How long have you been natural?" I cant help but to smile. :-) And when they feel my hair (if I let them) I smile even more because people are so surprised by how soft it is not realizing that our natural hair is suppose to be like that.

People seem to think maintaining natural hair is so hard. However, let me tell you...the key is a good moisturizing shampoo and hair conditioning system. You must take care of your hair on a consistent basis. Whether you are wearing puffs, braids, twists,or locks maintenance is important for healthy hair.

Me personally, I don't like to do too much with my hair. Anything that speeds up the process without damaging side effects is a plus. I don't even like the two step conditioning process. I like to be done in an hours time or less. And yes,it takes me at least an hour to wash & condition, moisturize, and blow dry my hair. Goodness gracious!!! Now when I don't blow dry my hair that cuts the time but then I have to wait some hours for my hair to dry before I go out or go to bed. Geez!!!I dont have that kind of time to be waiting on it. And no,I don't like going out with wet hair.

My favorite shampoo of all so far is Creme Of Nature Sunflower & Coconut Detangling Conditioning Shampoo. This works wonders all types of natural hair. My hair is always managable after using this shampoo. Other shampoos under this brand work very well also but that is the one for me. I love it!
For moisturizing and conditioning my hair itself I like to use Cocunut Oil by Spectrum and for moisturizing my scalp I like to use almond oil or grape seed oil. Yes,its that simple! And I always have great results.

This is how I have been rockin my hair lately

So much has happened, alot will take place, yet the question of the moment is always what to do right now??? What to do? When to do? How to do? Those are the number 1 questions that need to be answered.

Undecided and open minded to thoughts and ideas that lead to solutions. I am determined to succeed in all I set out to do. Time  to put into action the ideas circulating in mind. A plan and some goals is what is set into place. A focused mind and consistent effort is what is presented on my plate.

Now its time for actions to take place for results to take effect. 1 step towards doing is all it takes. Then things begin to happen and opportunities are presented. The achievement of  goals is the main course of action.

Getting Things Together

Sometimes the things you go through in life will knock you down and you have to fight to get up and Omg! This can be a very difficult journey. I've found that even people you have known all your life will turn  their back on you.Without question  and with no regards for the truth they make  their decisions on how to treat you based on false and misguided information. There will even sometimes be a point when you feel like everything is falling apart all at the same time.

Those who are your true family and friends will always be there for you regardless of the things you go through. Through your ups and downs, your highs and your lows, those true to you will be there rooting you on,telling you what needs to be heard, and they may even have to put you in your place. Regardless of what goes down they are there and real with you.

It might seem like life has dealt you a bad hand but in reality adjustments just need to be made. Everything in your life has surely been a result of one or more actions that you have set in motion and each action needs to be analyzed. First and foremost take the time to check yourself. Make sure you are thinking and doing things to the best of your ability. Analyze decisions you have made and decisions you intend on making. You need to be conscious of what you have done and what you will be doing. Especially if you want to improve the quality of your life. Dont worry about what those other people are thinking and saying about you. Their thoughts and actions  are not important. Their will be a time for you to set the record straight but right now get yourself together and get your strength up.

Know in your minds eye what it is you really want to be about and how you really want to live your life. That is what should be your focus and  the degree to which you measure your actions and deeds. You are the only one who truly know what it takes for your happiness, growth, and expansion.

Thoughts About The Little Ones

Our little ones,by this I mean children, grow so fast. One minute you have this little helpless baby and before you know it this child is walking around doing things and learning at such a fast rate that sometimes it just shocks you. One minute they come to you for all the questions they can think of and the next minute they think they have all the answers. Things change so much when you are raising these little ones that it is definitely a challenge to keep up.

One thing we do know though is that it is important to keep up with our little ones as much as we can. With the world in the shape it is in these days, this is a must. We do not want the world to consume our children and turn them into something that we don't even recognize. That would create a serious problem. Instead we always do our best to teach the little ones respect, honor, knowledge of self, truth and facts, and common sense. Our job is to guide them and protect them. All we can do is our best and the rest is up to them. What they do with the guidance and our protection we give them is entirely up to them and out of our hands.

Common Sense

Wow! It amazes me how much or how many people do not have common sense. Omg! It could be the simplest thing like treating others how you would want to be treated. Things that I know I have learned as a young child thanks to my mother and my father. It trips me out that there are adults who have no common sense and they too have children of their own. What in the world is going on???

I was taught at an early age many of the common sense principles that now come naturally to me and it shocks me that when some people hear them they think its something "deep." What are they going to think when real knowledge is presented to them. My goodness!

Common sense principles such as...Always be at your best and represent yourself with dignity...It is important to teach your children about life. They are our future...Who you surround yourself with and what you get yourself involved in has a direct  effect on your character...If you dont have respect for yourself, others surely wont have respect for you.

I am so glad my parents cared about me and taught me as well as they did. I have been blessed to have learned at an early age and I am so grateful that my parents did not half step when it came to teaching me and my sisters.

No More Bums In 2012

In the words of  B.Mack "No More Bums In 2012!"  Yes,that is one of the statements for the new Gregorian Calendar Year.

I choose to except and live by this statement because I am on a mission to constantly improve my quality of life. In order to do that I must surround myself with people who are on the same mental wave length. Surround myself with those eager to make improvements and not regress at any level or stay on the same level. This means "No More Bums In 2012."

I refuse to let anyone or anything stand in my way of progression ,and if an adult is not doing what he/she can to better themselves or their situation...I am done with him/her. I will not enable a person who is not focused on growth and progression, and I don't want them around me.

I choose not to be around people who ate content with being at a certain level and never reaching higher. I choose to surround myself with those of a progressive mind and diligent actions.

I am for self  improvement.

Goals and Resolutions

Every year people set "New Year's Resolutions." My view...Why bother setting resolutions when you dont even strive to acheive them? Why not look at your situation realistically first and then set golas of acheivement for yourself?

As a matter of fact, before you even do that, ask yourself...do you really want change? Do you really want  to make a difference in your life? are you ready for a lifestyle change?

Those are real questions you should ask yourself. Thats what its going to take to actually acheive your goals and even resolutions. A self examination, a lifestyle change, and in alot of cases it simply takes the will to make a change. The will to make things happen the way you see you want them to be.
